Anser provides IT engineering and low voltage infrastructure services to the LA Metro’s Information Technology Services (ITS) division. LA Metro ITS supports the information technology infrastructure hosting many of Metro’s operational and mission critical systems. The technology infrastructure spans across approximately 25 facilities located within a 60-mile radius of their Los Angeles headquarters. The infrastructure consists of over 4,000 computers, 600 servers, 170 applications (which include financial, transportation, material management, automated fare collection, SCADA and enterprise resource planning programs) and a variety of data, radio, voice, microwave radio, and closed-circuit television (CCTV) communications systems. ITS supports this technology and manages more than 300 outstanding projects to improve the use of existing technology as well as introducing new technologies that promote Metro’s ability to achieve its strategic business goals.
