The Challenges

SLC’s Airport Redevelopment Program (ARP) will construct 73 new gates, rental car facilities, parking garage, central utility plant, landside and airside terminals, and airfield improvements including fueling, roadways, and associated infrastructure. The ARP is driven by a high level of sustained growth, facilities that have reached their useful life, a robust economy, and a hub carrier that is expanding operations at Salt Lake City International Airport. The program is striving to achieve LEED Gold level. The ARP is being delivered using design-bid-build (DBB) with construction managers at risk (CMAR) method, overseen by a program management team and a single master architect.
