The Challenges
Ronald McDonald House of Akron participated in a fundraising campaign in order to raise funds to renovate and expand their existing House in the City of Akron. The current house is over thirty years old and was completed renovated and expanded in order to be modernized and to meet the increasing demand for their services. The project entails a new three-story addition while the current house is fully functional. An additional 42 rooms were added to the facility. The Ronald McDonald House in partnership with Akron Children’s Hospital awarded H.R. Gray, an Anser Advisory Company, a contract for owner’s representative services. H.R. Gray was tasked with developing the RFP for the Construction Manager-At-Risk. We provided budget and schedule control throughout the project. During design, H.R. Gray provided owner’s representative services that included cost estimates, design reviews and coordination, and constructability reviews. H.R. Gray also provided quality assurance to the Owner during the construction and post-construction phase.
